Proforma’s Annual Convention in New Orleans

Proforma’s Annual Convention took place in New Orleans this year. What a great event! From the franchise owners to Proforma’s PLPs to the special guests and the staff, this was one of the best Conventions ever.

I was very fortunate to host a workshop entitled “The Art of Mergers & Acquisitions.” The workshop focused on specific strategies to identify target companies for acquisition consideration and the key steps involved in concluding an acquisition. The workshop concluded with specific negotiation strategies to best position your offer.

The first habit encourages the reader to be more proactive. This step means that individuals should take charge of the situations in their life by realizing that their personal decisions, choices, and reactions are the main factor in their own success.

The next habit teaches readers to begin with the end in mind, which means that people should maintain a vision of their ideal goals and continuously work to satisfy those goals.

Next, The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People urges individuals to “put first things first,” which means that they should order their life based on what is most important instead of what is most urgent time-wise.

The fourth habit involves thinking with a win-win attitude. This means that readers should consider not only the solution that is beneficial for them, but also the solution that is mutually advantageous for all who are involved.

Next, the book teaches its readers that they should first aim to understand others before they strive to be understood. This habit will facilitate positive problem solving and develop an environment that is considerate of all ideas.

The sixth habit, simply known as “synergize,” has to do with teamwork. The book motivates those involved in a team to contribute meaningfully to the end goal, so that the group can achieve much more than what an individual could have achieved by himself or herself.

Lastly, the seventh goal focuses on self-rejuvenation. This habit encourages readers to find balance in their lifestyle to accomplish stability and revitalization of their health, energy, body, and mind.
